Overview
MyMind is Ireland’s leading social enterprise dedicated to making mental health support affordable and accessible to all. Each year, our network of professional therapists delivers more than 30,000 counselling sessions, both in-person and online, in over 20 languages.
We believe no one should face mental health challenges alone. As a registered charity with a proven, self-sustaining model, we combine social purpose with commercial discipline to scale our impact nationally.
We are now seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead MyMind into its next phase of growth, expanding reach, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring long-term sustainability while staying true to our compassionate, client-centred mission.

The Role
This is a defining, hands-on, leadership role for a visionary yet practical strategist. As CEO, you will lead a small, high-performing team of 10 people, and a highly skilled network of ~150 mental health professionals, to deliver measurable impact through sustainable growth. Reporting to the Board, you will bring strategic vision, business acumen, and empathic leadership, and an ability to operate at the intersection of mission and market. You will shape the organisation’s direction, inspire a culture of excellence, and ensure that MyMind remains both financially resilient and socially impactful. The role aligns with the HSE CEO Band SC1 salary (Social Care) €82,258– €99,213. We are open to modes of work, including hybrid structures, to fit with you and your organisational impact.
Key Areas of Focus
1. Strategy and Growth
· Lead the development and implementation of a bold, future-focused organisational strategy.
· Identify and pursue opportunities for diversification, growth, and innovation.
· Position MyMind as a model for accessible, blended mental health care in Ireland.
2. Commercial and Partnership Development
· Build and sustain strategic partnerships with corporate, philanthropic, and public sector stakeholders.
· Drive the development of new funding and service models that support financial independence.
· Champion MyMind’s social enterprise model and brand nationally.
3. Organisational Leadership and Culture
· Lead, support, and inspire a talented team of staff and contracted professionals.
· Embed a culture of collaboration, accountability, and compassion.
· Model the organisation’s values in decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
4. Operational Excellence and Sustainability
· Ensure effective, efficient operations across clinical, financial, and digital domains.
· Maintain high standards of governance, transparency, and impact measurement.
· Oversee budget management, financial planning, and reporting to the Board.
5. External Representation and Advocacy
· Represent MyMind with credibility and influence across the health, social enterprise, and business communities.
· Communicate the organisation’s vision and impact clearly and persuasively to partners, media, and policymakers.
Leadership Profile
You will combine strategic and commercial acumen with empathy and authenticity. You will be as comfortable building partnerships in boardrooms as you are speaking with staff and clients about what accessible care means in practice.

Initial Success Measures (First 12–18 Months)
· A refreshed organisational strategy developed, adopted, and communicated.
· A clear and viable commercial diversification plan implemented.

· Team cohesion and engagement deepened around shared goals and values.
Essential Qualities and Experience
· Educated to degree level in social sciences, psychology/psychotherapy or business/commercial discipline
· Track record of business building/social enterprise success
· Minimum of 5 years in a senior management role
· Understanding of the health/mental health service sector
· Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at a high level
Desirable Qualities and Experience
· Previous experience of working in the voluntary sector
· Post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline
· Previous experience of managing teams of mental health professionals
· Previous experience of working with a voluntary Board
