Seeking a new chairperson, treasurer and general trustees
Join the Board of Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride
Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride is a leading LGBTQ+ organisation in Ireland, known for delivering one of the country’s largest and most vibrant cultural and social justice events - the annual Dublin Pride Festival & Parade. We champion equal rights for LGBTQ+ people, locally and globally, by raising awareness of discrimination and amplifying the voices and experiences of our community as well as other marginalised groups. As well as the Dublin Pride Festival & Parade, we run the Pride at Work training programme, and year-round activities that celebrate, connect, and advocate for LGBTQ+ people.
As the festival has grown over the past decade, so too has the scale of our operations. We now have a dedicated team of core staff, supported by a passionate board of trustees, delivering events and projects that engage hundreds of thousands of people each year.
We’re looking to strengthen and diversify our Board to help guide Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride into the future. Board members play a vital role in setting strategy, ensuring good governance, and championing our mission.
We are currently seeking:
Chairperson
The Chairperson will lead the Board, ensuring good governance, effective decision-making, and strong collaboration between trustees and the executive team. This role requires leadership experience, effective communication skills, and a passion for LGBTQ+ equality.
Treasurer
The Treasurer will oversee the organisation’s financial health, supporting the executive team in budget planning, financial reporting, and risk management. Experience in finance, accounting, or nonprofit governance would be a strong advantage.
General Board Members
We are also looking for two trustees with expertise in areas such as:
- Human Resources
- Communications & Media
- Fundraising & Sponsorship
- Event Management
Candidates should be people who:
- Are passionate about LGBTQ+ equality and visibility (and may or may not enjoy a fabulous parade).
- Bring skills or experience in areas such as: Human Resources, Communications, Finance, Fundraising, and Event Management.
- Understand the value of diversity and inclusion in leadership.
We welcome applications from all but especially welcome applications from underrepresented groups.
Why join us?
You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the future of one of Ireland’s most high-profile LGBTQ+ organisations, contribute to meaningful change, and be part of a dedicated, fun, and values-driven team.
Commitment:
The Board meets approximately 8–10 times per year and is expected to show up at the occasional event when required.
This is a voluntary position, but one that offers invaluable experience and the chance to make a real impact.
If you’d like to bring your skills, ideas, and passion to Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride, we’d love to hear from you.
