Talk To Tom (rebranding to Futures In Mind), a suicide prevention and awareness charity based in Gorey, Wexford, seeks dedicated and passionate volunteers to join our board of trustees.  Talk To Tom is a volunteer-led, community-based Mental Health Charity facilitating free counselling services to adults and children through our clinical centres in Gorey, Co Wexford and Arklow, Co Wicklow. We also provide education, training, community outreach and initiative programmes throughout Ireland. As we embrace our journey of growth and rebranding, we're looking for dedicated and passionate individuals eager to contribute to our mission. We value individuals who align with our core values and possess recent and relevant strategic-level experience in any of the following domains:

• Finance and Accounts
• Human Resources
• Fundraising and Networking
• Clinical Experience

General Trustee duties of a Charity Trustee

• Comply with the Charity's governing document.
• Ensuring Charity is complying with its charitable purpose for the public benefit
• Acting in the best interest of the Charity
• Act with Reasonable Care and Skill
• Manage the assets of The Charity.
• Providing oversight of the strategic funding direction of the organisation and contributing with insight and experience of fundraising/funding strategy formulation in the social sector.
• Policy formation and implementation as required

Board Members at Futures In Mind play a crucial role in our organisation, with responsibilities that include:

• Assisting with grant applications and identifying new funding opportunities to support our mission.
• Developing new partnerships to secure sustainable funding.
• Regular attendance at Board Meetings and our annual AGM.
• Participation in ad hoc sub-groups tailored to specific needs.
• Engaging in ongoing strategic areas such as Quality and Safety, Strategic Planning, and Appraisals.
• Committing a minimum of one year to help guide our organisation.
• Adhering to the Board Members' code of conduct and policies.

Board Meetings:

There will be four to six board meetings and four to six sub-committee meetings annually. Meetings are held at Talk To Tom, Pugin Court, St Michaels Road, Gorey, Wexford.
