Location:        Dublin

Reporting to:  Head of Irish Partnerships

Contract:        Indefinite duration contract

Hours:           37.5 hours per week

Salary:           €40,000 per annum DOE

About The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Irish Partnerships, this is an exciting opportunity to support the growth of a proven organisation that has already made a real community, environmental, and business impact. You will have the opportunity to work with key food industry partners in Ireland, including major retailers, food manufacturers, primary producers and distributors, to understand their needs and develop innovative solutions for surplus food to maximise impact. This is a fantastic opportunity for a social and sustainability minded individual who wants to make a real difference and impact through their daily work. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The core element of this role is to act as the lead contact for a portfolio of food industry partners - including retailers, food manufacturers, distributors and primary producers - with the overall ambition to increase the amount of food rescued. As part of your new role you will:

  • Drive Revenue and Operational Impact
    • Take ownership of sales targets for the Irish market, identifying and closing new business opportunities within the food and retail sectors.
    • Act as the lead contact for a portfolio of food industry partners - including retailers, manufacturers, and primary producers - to increase the volume of food rescued.
    • Develop high-impact proposals and presentations for prospective industry partners.
  • Practical Tech Application & Adoption
    • Actively consult with partners to ensure full integration of FoodCloud’s app-based solutions into their daily operations.
    • Work closely with new partners to develop and deliver successful operational trials and rollouts.
    • Collaborate with the in-house technology team to test and implement new features based on practical feedback from the field.
    • Continually identify and suggest opportunities to improve internal processes, operational efficiency, and the overall partner experience.
  • Strategic Growth, Retention & Governance
    • Proactively identify opportunities to deepen partner engagement and prevent churn.
    • Use a practical, forward-looking approach to spot new opportunities and support sustainable growth within your portfolio.
    • Track and measure progress against agreed KPIs, providing data-driven updates to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Follow FoodCloud’s governance, compliance, and risk management standards in all partner activities.
  • Travel will be required on occasion.
  • Other duties as required per business needs

Experience:

  • Strategic Sales & Account Management: 3+ years of experience in high-growth Tech Sales, SaaS or National Account Management. You have a consistent record of meeting quarterly targets while managing and deepening relationships with diverse external stakeholders.
  • App & Marketplace Success: Proven success in App-based or Marketplace sales, ideally within a fast-paced scale-up environment, driving both user acquisition and platform engagement.
  • Full Sales Cycle & Onboarding: Demonstrated ability to manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and cold outreach to closing and post-sale onboarding and operational integration.  
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working within cross-functional teams (e.g., Tech, Operations, and Marketing) to align sales goals with practical, on-the-ground delivery.
  • Mission Alignment: A strong commitment to FoodCloud’s values and a baseline knowledge of environmental and climate change issues.
  • Desirable: Food Industry Expertise: Experience within the food supply chain, manufacturing, retail or logistics sectors Having an understanding of the operational realities, physical constraints and dynamics of these sectors would be an advantage.

  • Operational Resilience & Influence: Highly adaptable to changing priorities, with the ability to support partners through operational and technological transitions. You possess outstanding communication skills to manage expectations and the resilience to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech-to-Operations Literacy: Ability to understand software ecosystems and articulate technical value propositions to non-technical business owners and floor staff.
  • Process Improvement & Governance: Proactive in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and partner experience, while strictly following FoodCloud’s governance, compliance, and risk management standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain high levels of accuracy in reporting, partner interactions, and daily administrative work.
  • Forward-Looking Growth: Ability to use a practical approach to spot new opportunities and support sustainable growth within your partner portfolio.
  • Sales Enablement: Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot) to manage sales pipelines and track partner growth.
  • Mobility: Full, clean driver’s licence and access to transport for travel to suppliers and regional hubs.
