Your Story at Summit 2026
The Wheel aims to give our members a platform at our main events, especially at Summit 2026. We want this Summit to reflect your experiences and insights, showcasing the knowledge and innovation within our membership.
This year, we’re creating more ways for you to share your stories and directly shape the programme.
How it Works
We’ve identified seven themes based on member feedback and pressing sector issues. We invite members with ideas, stories, or projects related to these themes to submit a short expression of interest form.
From these submissions, we will select contributors to speak in themed member sessions at Summit 2026.
We’ve made this process simple and accessible. Since places are limited and we want balanced representation, we may not accommodate every submission. However, if you wish to share, we encourage you to apply.
Speaking contributions will be brief, typically 10 to 15 minutes, with time for discussion and networking.
Themes for Member Sessions
Below are the seven themes for Summit 2026, along with examples of desired contributions. If you have insights or experiences to share, please complete the relevant short form.

Summit 2026 occurs just before Ireland’s EU Presidency, a key moment for our sector. We’ll discuss how to leverage this event, which happens only once every 13 years. We’ll explore ideas and examples of how our sector can champion civil society's role in EU Member States while protecting European values.
Do you have insights or plans to share ahead of the Presidency?

The Wheel supports greater involvement in research to promote evidence-based services and advocacy. This session will coincide with the launch of a new publication by Dr Maura Adshead from the University of Limerick on building partnerships between researchers and communities. We seek examples of successful research partnerships and collaborative projects.

Our sector can seem fragmented. Yet, community organisations and social enterprises often unite to tackle broader issues affecting communities. In a policy environment that encourages cross-departmental approaches, the value of coalitions and collaborative advocacy is essential. This session will explore effective examples of cross-sectoral advocacy and how working together strengthens our voice.
