Community Engagement in Research: Building Partnerships for Impact

Join us for a dynamic half-day event bringing together community representatives and researchers to explore how collaboration can create more meaningful, impactful research!

Community engagement in research strengthens understanding, builds trust, and ensures that research outcomes truly serve society’s needs. Whether you’re a researcher seeking to connect your work with real-world communities, or a community representative interested in shaping and benefiting from research, this event offers valuable insights and opportunities for everyone.

The programme will feature expert-led sessions, interactive networking, and real-world case studies highlighting best practices in community–academic partnerships. Participants will have the chance to co-create ideas, build new connections, and discover supports, including funding, tools, and training opportunities, to take collaboration to the next level.

A special feature of the event will be the launch of a new book by Dr Maura Adshead, Head of Community Engagement at the University of Limerick. Her new book, Doing Community Research, is a practical guide to engaging communities for more socially impactful research.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and contribute to a growing culture of community-engaged research in Ireland!
