Communicating Good Governance
Join us at this webinar for a practical guide to showcasing strong governance throughout your communications as part of Charity Trustees' Week 2025.
Communicating strong governance in a way that’s engaging and accessible is essential for building support, attracting funders, and ensuring the trust of those you support.
To mark Charity Trustees’ Week, We Act is joining forces with Boardmatch once again, to bring you a session on communicating your governance.
Hannah Coleman of Boardmatch Ireland and Claire McGowran of We Act will share actionable steps any organisation can adapt, for demonstrating governance throughout your communications in a way that’s informative and interesting.
Covering social media, websites, and annual reports, expect to leave this session with practical tools for telling the story behind your spreadsheets and meeting minutes!

Claire McGowran is The We Act project Manager, working closely with a pan-sectoral steering group on an exciting new campaign to improve public awareness of the value and impact of the charity and community sector in Ireland. She holds a degree in Journalism from DCU and wrote for various newspapers and magazines as a digital editor for 8 years. Claire's interest in campaigns was sparked by her involvement in the campaign to Repeal the Eighth Amendment in 2018. Living in London at the time, she volunteered with the London-Irish Abortion Rights Campaign as an organiser for Home To Vote. She's also worked with UNICEF on a campaign to end child marriage and contributed to the Emigrant Papers as part of the campaign to expand voting rights for Irish emigrants.

Hannah Coleman joined the Boardmatch team in 2017 where she is the Communications & Education Manager, overseeing brand, marketing, events, board recruitment website, training programmes, and board review services. Hannah is also an arts enthusiast, with over 20 years of classical ballet training and a BA in English with Film Studies from UCD. Since February 2020, Hannah has been a trustee and company secretary on the Board of the Irish National Youth Ballet. Hannah advocates board volunteering, particularly for those people who might not consider themselves potential candidates.
