Register for The Rise of the Uninformed Expert, 22 Apr
The Advertisting Standards Authority are delighted to be hosting an event: The Rise of the Uninformed Expert, taking place on 22 April 2026, from 8:30am to 10:30am, at The Leinster, 7 Mount Street Lower, Dublin 2.
This year’s theme explores how misleading claims and perceived authority are shaping consumer behaviour, and how the growing influence of voices without genuine subject‑matter expertise can undermine consumer trust and brand reputation.
The Advertisting Standards Authority are pleased to welcome an engaging line‑up of speakers, including keynote speaker Richard Shotton, behavioural psychologist and founder of Astroten.
He will be joined by Martina Chapman, National Coordinator of Media Literacy Ireland, and Orla Twomey, Chief Executive of the Advertising Standards Authority, for a panel discussion moderated by Breda Brown of Unique Media.
