Ready, Set, Step! Join Tommy Bowe and Laura Fox for the 2026 Forvis Mazars Steps Team Challenge
Teams across Ireland are invited to walk, jog or run while raising funds for children’s charities.
The 2026 Forvis Mazars Steps Team Challenge was officially launched today by presenter Laura Fox and former Ireland rugby international and broadcaster Tommy Bowe. Now in its fourth year, the national initiative will run from 19 January 2026 to 15 February 2026, bringing teams together from workplaces and communities across the country.
The challenge encourages people of all ages and abilities to get active while raising much-needed funds for charities, supporting vital services for children and families throughout Ireland.
Since its initial launch in 2022, the challenge has seen more than 10,500 people take part, raised more than €27,500 for Irish charities and resulted in the planting of 1,826 trees. This year, Forvis Mazars is supporting two vital charities: Jigsaw, a national youth mental health charity, and BUMBLEance, which provides free nationwide medical transport for sick children. For every registered participant, Forvis Mazars will make a donation, turning every step into a meaningful contribution to these causes.
The Steps Team Challenge is open to teams of four and participants of all fitness levels. It is designed for companies, clubs, community groups or friends who want to get active this January. Teams can choose to walk or run, one of two virtual routes around Ireland:
- A Four-Province Route, where participants average 10,000 steps per day to journey through all four provinces
- A 32-County Route, where participants average 16,000 steps per day to travel across every county
Ambassador Laura Fox encourages us all to get involved: “After a lovely, restful Christmas break, this challenge is the perfect motivation to get moving again. It’s a brilliant way to kick-start 2026 in a healthy way, while bringing people together for truly meaningful causes. Rally a team of colleagues, friends or family and get stepping with me this January!”
The four-week wellness challenge is designed to kickstart the new year and get people moving throughout January and early February. To take part, participants register online and download the Steps Team Challenge app, which connects to smartphones and fitness devices to track daily steps, monitor team progress and view live leaderboards.
Ambassador Tommy Bowe added: “The Forvis Mazars Steps Team Challenge is about more than just steps – it’s about movement, wellbeing and teamwork. It gives people a simple, fun way to get active while supporting great charities. Whether you’re walking, jogging or running, every step counts.”
More than €30,000 in prizes are available, including over 50 weekly prizes and 40 end-of-challenge prizes, such as:
- Luxury overnight stays for two at the InterContinental Dublin with dinner
- Spa and pamper packages with lunch
- Vouchers for Intersport Elverys Ireland
- Prepaid CleverCard gift cards
- Premium concert tickets to see The Weeknd in Croke Park
Forvis Mazars Managing Partner, Tom O’Brien, said: “We’re delighted to bring back the Steps Team Challenge for a fourth year and to see so many people coming together to take part. The challenge is about teamwork, wellbeing and encouraging people to step away from busy routines, get active and connect with colleagues. We’re proud that this initiative also helps raise vital funds for Jigsaw and BUMBLEance, supporting the incredible work they do for young people and families across Ireland.”
