About:
This interactive event featuring expert inputs, workshop sessions and group discussions is part of a European-wide project ‘Proud Spaces’ which will evidence the practices, activities and methodologies that help to create safe and inclusive spaces for young LGBTQI+ people.
This event will share the promising practices that have been shown to achieve better outcomes in work with young LGBTQI+ people and, explore collective actions that can be taken to defend the rights of young LGBTQI+ people and those who work with them.

Aims of this event:
- To engage the participation of practitioners to further our understanding of promising practices in LGBTQI+ youth work.
- To consolidate our understanding of promising practices as they relate to LGBTQI+ youth work.
- To share evidence of our practices that achieve impact and outcomes for young LGBTQI+ people.
- To disseminate the findings and evidence from the Proud Spaces project, thus far.
- To consider and understand the steps we can take as allies in promoting youth work practices across Europe as a way of supporting and advocating with and for the LGBTQI+ community and those who work to defend it.
Target Audience
This event is open to all those who work with young LGBTQI+ people and want to learn more about promising practices and collective actions that can achieve better outcomes.
This event is free to attend, and a light lunch will be provided.
