NEW Remote Learning: An Introduction to Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

This new Remote Learning: An Introduction to Dialectical Behaviour Therapy workshop will suit those who want to familiarise themselves with DBT skills and techniques for working with personality disorders and other areas. This introduction course is ideal if you are thinking of taking the first step in becoming a DBT therapist or if you would like to have a better understanding of the concept before referring clients or employees to a DBT service.

Date: 20 & 21 April 2020

Time: 09.30 - 12.30 (GMT+1) each day

This workshop will be delivered live using the free Zoom remote conferencing platform: The course will allow you to interact with your trainer and other participants in a virtual classroom where, in addition to the workshop content, there will be time built in for live discussions, question & answer sessions and skills practice. You can access the course wherever you have an internet connection; on a desktop, tablet or even a smartphone.

  • Professionals who see clients in 1 to 1 sessions and wish to add DBT techniques to their set of skills.
  • People or teams working in inpatient or community settings.
  • Mental health/psychiatric nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, probation officers, people working in HR or Occupational Health departments.
  • Carers for people with mental health issues.

Members of The Psychological Society of Ireland can receive learning credits for completing this workshop and there is other accreditation for CPD points pending.
