Join our call for the UN #Resolution4Rare

Posted on 21 Sep 2021

Over the coming weeks a UN Resolution for people living with rare conditions will be brought forward to the UN General Assembly for adoption. This Resolution aims to highlight the challenges that people living with rare conditions around the globe face in their daily lives and how the UN can help to promote equity and inclusion for the rare community.

Rare Diseases Ireland will write to the Taoiseach, the UN Permanent Mission, relevant Ministers and political party leaders and spokespeople to ask them to support this #Resolution4Rare. Attached is our proposed letter (if you have any changes please let us know) together with the Concept Note from the NGO Committee for Rare Diseases, Rare Diseases International and EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe.

We would welcome all groups in Ireland that are supporting people living with rare conditions to join our letter.

If you would like to join the call, please send us your organisation name and logo to include in the letter together with your name and title/role by Thurs 23 Sept. (Please bring this e-mail to the attention of appropriate personnel at your organisation as necessary.)
