Ecclesiastical Ireland and Benefact Group Bring Charities Together for Annual Dublin Fundraising Forum

Ecclesiastical Ireland, proudly part of the Benefact Group and Benefact Trust, welcomed representatives from more than 20 charities and non-profit organisations to St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, this week for its annual Dublin Fundraising Forum.

Held at The Deanery Mews, St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin, the event brought together charities from across Ireland to network, share experiences, discuss fundraising challenges and hear from industry experts on the evolving fundraising landscape.

Attendees included representatives from organisations such as ALONE, Barnardos, Cancer Fund for Children, Children’s Books Ireland, Christ Church Cathedral Dublin, COPE Galway, Depaul Ireland, Dogs Trust, Dublin Central Mission, IMMA, Music Network, Oxfam Ireland, Protestant Aid, Royal Irish Academy of Music, St Patrick’s Cathedral, The Corrymeela Community, The Lir, Threshold, Tiglin, Trócaire and Wexford Festival Opera, among others. 

The forum featured a keynote masterclass from Simon Scriver, Co-Founder of Fundraising Everywhere and one of Ireland’s leading fundraising experts. His session, The Power of Real Dialogue: Why Human Connection Wins in Fundraising (Especially Now), explored the growing importance of authentic human engagement in an increasingly digital world and highlighted how charities can build stronger relationships with supporters through meaningful conversations.

The event also provided charities with an opportunity to discuss real-world fundraising challenges and collaborate with peers to identify practical solutions, while sharing feedback that will help shape future support and resources provided by Benefact Group for charities across Ireland and the UK.

As part of its commitment to supporting the sector, Ecclesiastical Ireland also highlighted the Benefact Group’s wider fundraising support resources and the ongoing Movement for Good Awards programme, which provides funding opportunities for charities and community organisations.
