Join us on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3 June from 2-4pm for this highly interactive free event, 'Jobs & Skills in the Circular Economy: : Transforming momentum into social value and local jobs in reuse, repair & recycling'. We will explore, with key policy makers and practitioners, how we can make the most of this policy and funding landscape to create real career opportunities in the transition to a more circular economy.

To register please visit the Hopin page here.

There has never been a better time to avail of European and national policy and funding programmes to invest in green and social jobs. But how is all of this momentum translating into reuse, repair and recycling training and job opportunities on the ground? What are the barriers to developing these skills and jobs and reaping the economic, social and environmental benefits of a circular economy right across society?

Facilitated by Dr Cara Augustenborg, and featuring CRNI members Rediscovery Centre, BounceBack Recycling, RecycleIT, ReCreate, the European network RREUSE, the Nevin Economic Research Institute, the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management, the Departments of Communications, Climate Action and Environment, and the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, and more, Jobs and Skills promises to be an engaging event to stimulate discussion and identify the next steps for jobs in the circular economy transition.

The event is supported by the EPA under the National Waste Prevention Programme and Community Resources Network of Ireland.
