Change:  Why the heck do “other people” have such a problem with it?

Free Zoom Webinar (4 August @ 7pm - 8.30pm)

Apparently change is the only constant in the Universe.  Who knew?

Also, the ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus said:  “No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.”    Gotta love those Greeks!   😊

Plus … Change; everyone wants it, but no-one wants to do it!

So, love it or loathe it, we seem to be stuck with change and might have to learn to live with it.  And maybe actually embrace it as a positive force of and for … change!  Sorry about that!

The trouble is however we quite often seem to struggle as to how to think about and apply change in constructive, kind and effective ways.

For example, when we like situations or people, we tend to do our level best to prevent those situations or people from changing.  As in when things get challenging we confront other people with the outraged accusation of:  “You’ve changed, how dare you!”

Or if things head south in relationships of all kinds from personal to workplace, to social to community to school and so on we then diagnose the “problem” with the other person and embark on a concerted campaign to change them for the better!  Hopefully with their consent but quite prepared to proceed without it because only we know best what is needed to make them better!

Be the change you want to see in the world.  Gandhi.

Nice idea that applies powerfully to other people, but with special exemption status for oneself!

In this free webinar (the latest in a series on Sustainable Relationships and Resolving Conflict) we will be taking a look at what change actually is, how it works as a process and how we can apply it in creative and constructive ways to help make situations and relationships better, rather than putting heaps of energy into changing the problem.  (You might only end up replacing it with another one as nature abhors a vacuum and so do problems!)

How to view change as a friend and embrace it as a conscious, constructive, creative choice rather than a random, arbitrary and haphazard process where survival of the fittest is the only show in town.

Move over Darwin a better and higher form of evolution is coming through!
