Posted on 17 May 2019

The EDI Unit is delighted to continue the Appreciating Culture lunchtime lecture series, after the success of Dr Ebun Joseph’s recent thought provoking talk. Dr Frances McGinnity will take us through her work and research areas on 22 May at 1pm, to further explore the experiences of ethnic minorities studying and working in Ireland with her lecture - Racial Equality and Discrimination: Evidence from the Irish Labour Market.

RCSI Lecture series

The marked increase in immigration in the late 1990s and early 2000s has brought considerable racial/ethnic and national diversity to Ireland. This lecture investigates how different ethnic and national groups have fared in the Irish labour market, based on three large, identical, nationally representative surveys to examine outcomes during the Celtic Tiger, through the recession, until 2014.]
