TrustLaw/PILA Webinar Series on the Law and COVID-19

Posted on 2 Apr 2020

TrustLaw, the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s global pro bono network, are partnering with PILA (Public Interest Law Alliance, a project of FLAC) and law firms A&L Goodbody, Arthur Cox and McCann FitzGerald, to run a series of free interactive webinars addressing the legal challenges posed by the current COVID-19 pandemic designed specifically to help charities, nonprofit organisations, and social enterprises.

The webinars will provide an opportunity to receive expert guidance directly from lawyers on three of the most critical legal topics relevant to COVID-19: Employment, Contracts, and Charity law.

The format of the webinars will be as follows:

  • 20 mins overview from the lawyers on key issues (including answering some of the most common questions being faced by organisations)
  • 20 mins Q&A session (questions to be submitted in advance or live)
  • Recap on how to receive pro bono legal advice through TrustLaw and PILA

The lawyers will only be able to provide general information during the webinars. If you require specific legal advice following the webinars, you can do so by contacting TrustLaw directly. The maximum number of attendees for each webinar will be limited so that all those in attendance have the opportunity to ask questions. The dates for the webinars will be set shortly, and numbers are limited.
