The Community Foundation for Ireland Environment and Nature Fund

Posted on 3 Jun 2019

In early 2019 The Community Foundation for Ireland announced its commitment to provide €250,000 in grants through our newly established Environment and Nature Fund. This fund has already made an initial €200,000 available.

The Community Foundation for Ireland has and is continuing to reach out to our own network of donors to ask them to contribute to this fund so that we can provide funding to more communities in Ireland to preserve and increase our natural biodiversity.

Now we are also reaching out to the people of Ireland to help us to grow this fund and ensure that more community groups can avail of funding. Everyone has the potential to be a philanthropist and there has never been a more pressing issue to contribute funding to. There are many social issue areas in Ireland that need support however our local biodiversity is being depleted at an alarming rate and needs immediate action.

By contributing to this campaign and spreading the message of the campaign with your friends and family we can ensure there is more funding for community groups to carry out this important work. 100% of monies raised through this campaign will go directly to the organisations carrying out this work.

Organisations who apply for funding are assessed by our expert grants panel and we make sure that they adhere to the highest standards of governance, ensuring that the money you contribute goes directly to the cause.

We hope that you can contribute whatever you can to the Environment and Nature and encourage others to do so, the more money that is raised the more community groups that will be supported to enhance and protect our local biodiversity.
