The Organic Centre

The Organic Centre is a charity & social enterprise that works hard to increase knowledge, and awareness about organic growing, biodiversity, climate change, food sovereignty and sustainable energy.  We operate from a community-based model that works with people; we promote inclusion and work for the common good, as well as education, we are a wonderful tourist venue, and we also work with our partners to address climate change.

Member Q&A

What is your goal?

The Organic Centre’s Vision: To work with people and nature, for a more sustainable planet. The Organic Centre Mission: To promote and support organic growing and sustainable living.

How have you been working towards it?

25 years.

How has being a member of The Wheel helped?

Networking, training and funding information.

How can people support you?

Through online purchases, volunteering, becoming a member, getting involved in the work we do. People can also sign up for a course, come for a tour, bring their community group, school or business for a tour, visit our gardens and promote biodiversity at home or school.  They could also host an event here at the Centre.

Do you have any success stories to share?

We have been up and running for 25 years and support the local economy, local and national communities and work to address climate change.  We have lots to offer people of all ages and our wonderful 19-acre site featuring our heritage orchard, gardens and cafe is currently free entry.  All the more reason to come for a visit (as soon as practicable).
