Tutor/ Lecturer

Specific Purpose Contract – 1 year 

24 hours per week

(Blanchardstown/Raheny)

The Tutor/Lecturer will play a key role in providing education and training for health care professionals within St. Francis Hospice Dublin and beyond, as requested by the Head of Education. The Tutor/Lecturer will collaborate with the education team to contribute to the long-term development of education within the Hospice. The Tutor/Lecturer will, as part of their role, lecture in Interdisciplinary Specialist Palliative Care in Trinity College Dublin. The candidate will support the Head of Education and contribute to the development and delivery of education initiatives across the organisation. 

The person must...

  • Be educated to Level 9 as per NQI (2003).
  • Have at least three years experience working in Specialist Palliative Care.
  • Have experience in facilitating teaching and learning using various teaching strategies and modes of delivery.
  • Preferably have experience facilitating teaching and learning within a third level college or health care setting. 
  • Be registered with the relevant professional body as per area of expertise. 
  • Preferably be proficient in MS office, Excel, Work, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Remote Working Tools (Zoom/Skype/Microsoft Teams). 
  • Hold a full driving license. 
  • Have evidence of continuing professional development.
