Rethink Ireland is recruiting for a Social Impact Analyst.

Rethink Ireland - Social Impact Analyst  (Funds delivery support role) 

Contract:     2 Years Fixed Term Contract 

Based:   Dublin, Cork or Galway - with some travel within Ireland 

Benefits:  23 days Annual Leave. 8% employer pension contribution following successful completion of probation.

Salary:         Entry point €30,000 per annum 

We’re looking for a Social Impact Analyst to support all stages of the Fund Pathway — from Fund Scoping, Open Call & Selection, to Programme Design & Delivery, through to Awardee Performance Management and Sustainability & Exit Planning.  

What does a typical day look like? 

  • Support the coordination meetings and the delivery of key fund milestones
  • Support fund team to strengthen performance and impact of awardees  
  • Collecting and analysing data to feed into reports and donor updates
  • Supporting programme planning, tracking fund budgets, and managing documentation
  • Collaborating across teams to keep each Fund running smoothly from start to finish  

ROLE PURPOSE 

The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver the social impact of Rethink Ireland by supporting a portfolio of awardees to meet programme targets, driving maximum achievement of social impact, in line with investment objectives and conditions. Monitoring impact metrics is a key aspect of this role. It is a critical relationship management role with both applicants and awardees. 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

This role will work across our portfolio of funds and awardees. The successful candidate will report to a Manager within the Operations Team and work closely with the Portfolio Management Team and other business units, including Marketing Communications, Finance and Business Development Teams, to drive and deliver Rethink Ireland's impact.  

Core duties: 

  • You will support the call for applications and selection process of applicants for new Funds including Fund promotion and the recruitment of applications as well as lead on due diligence processes.
  • You will work within the Portfolio Management team, taking a leadership role in some areas and an execution or support role in others, in order to develop strong awardee relationships and deliver maximum awardee performance.
  • You will work with the awardees supporting the definition of their social impact goals, assisting the Fund Manager/Associate Fund Manager with building the capacity of the projects to deliver the promised impact, and supporting managing the input of the non-financial supports.
  • Administrative tasks such as supporting grant payments, consolidating Fund budgets and keeping track of Fund expenditure.
  • You will support the development and delivery of capacity-building programmes for awardees.
  • You will support the management of the investment relationship with relevant Rethink Ireland awardees, including performance management.
  • You will support the successful close-out of funds as assigned by your line manager, including completing donor reporting on time and working closely with the Marketing and Communications Team.
  • You will design, collect, analyse and verify impact data, identifying trends and producing social impact reports, both statistical and visual
  • You will support the implementation of social impact and portfolio management systems including financial reporting
  • You will support the coordination between suppliers, consultants, awardees and Rethink Ireland
  • You will deliver your tasks on budget
  • Like all staff, you will act as an ambassador for Rethink Ireland at all times. 

Other Duties: 

  • Support the marketing, fundraising and communications work of Rethink Ireland
  • Participate in training and attend meetings and events as requested
  • Support the work of the Portfolio Management Team and Rethink Ireland as a whole
  • Contribute your ideas on the future development of Rethink Ireland to the team
  • Other duties as assigned by your line manager to support the goals of Rethink Ireland 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • You have either a primary degree in a relevant area (for example business, social science, arts and humanities, or journalism) or an equivalent amount of experience
  • You have 2 years work experience that demonstrates your track record of using analytical skills to distil complex information and reach a conclusion
  • You have the ability to be persuasive through your excellent written and verbal English
  • You have experience in report writing
  • You have strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Suite and of other cloud-based systems
  • You have strong attention to detail
  • You are able to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • You demonstrate the highest levels of integrity

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Understanding of the environment for social enterprises, social innovations, entrepreneurship or the non-profit sector
  • Experience in using CRM system Salesforce
  • Experience in organising, managing and running online and/or in-person events
  • Familiarity with budgeting & financial reporting would be highly advantageous
