Senior Occupational Therapist

The Senior Occupational Therapist will work as part of the Occupational Therapy team at St. Francis Hospice Dublin working in close collaboration with the MDT

Occupational Therapist – Senior

Permanent – 35 hours per week 

(Raheny/ Blanchardstown)

The Senior Occupational Therapist will work as part of the Occupational Therapy team at St. Francis Hospice Dublin working in close collaboration with other multi-disciplinary team members across the different services (In-Patient unit, Outpatients and Day service and in the Community)

The person must...

  • Be CORU registered
  • Have a minimum of 3 years full time (or equivalent) recent post graduate experience, 1 of which must have been in a hospice setting/ acute hospital setting and/ or primary care
  • Demonstrate a high level of competency in completing functional and seating assessments
  • Demonstrate expertise in complex discharge planning and risk assessment
  • Have excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in the areas of service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience providing professional supervision
  • Evidence of continuing professional development, relevant to palliative care
  • Full driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience with teaching and research.
  • Experience in symptom management education
