Prison In-Reach Housing Support Worker

HAIL is recruiting a Prison In-Reach Housing Support Worker

Location: Dublin, primarily based in Cloverhill, with possible travel to surrounding counties

Responsible/Reporting to: Head of Services/ Project Manager, HAIL

Job purpose: To support individuals in accessing appropriate accommodation in the community on release from custody

Salary Scale: €38,466 - €48,039 (subject to WRC agreements)

Job Information: This is a full-time, permanent post, 35 hours per week - 9.00 – 5.00 Monday to Friday.

HAIL’s Support Services consists of a number of teams providing mental health tenancy sustainment to our own tenants as well as those in living in other AHBs, local authority and private rented accommodation and individuals leaving prison. We also have an active, innovative and highly regarded Peer Programme.

Role Description

This position entails working in Cloverhill Prison as part of the mental health In-reach multi-disciplinary teams. It would suit a motivated individual with excellent self-management competences. You will work as part of the HSE Prison In-Reach and Court Liaison Service (PICLS) team to work with individuals with mental illness who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness.

You will be a strong advocate for these individuals to enable a smooth transition into suitable accommodation in the community and assist in accessing community supports.
