Family Link, Development and Education Manager Maternity Cover

Position: Maternity Leave Cover 6 months Fixed Term, hours and salary negotiable

Ballyfermot Travellers Action Project seek to empower Travellers through innovative community development work, which acts as a catalyst for social change, to collectively participate in redressing the challenges and issues that affect Travellers in order to improve the quality of their lives as a nomadic ethnic group.

Role overview:
 The role entails coordinating and overseeing the education, family and parenting support programmes in BTAP
 The Manager will work closely with the BTAP coordinator in managing all aspects of this work in BTAP
 The Manager will engage with all the key stakeholders, local Traveller community,
Tusla PPFS, HSE and relevant local community partners who support children and families.
 The Manager will work alongside Prevention Partnership and Family Support staff and other local family support programmes and initiatives to identify parents' and children’s support needs and oversee BTAP’s response in supporting Traveler children and parents.
