Donore Community Drug & Alcohol Team is recruiting a part-time Community Drug & Alcohol Worker to join their team

Donore Community Drug & Alcohol Team’s (DCDAT) Mission is to provide a range of services to meet the needs of our community in an open and welcoming environment. We serve people in active addiction, people who are taking steps to make change, and people who are trying to sustain change, as well as families who care for people with drug and alcohol difficulties. We provide services in both one-to-one and group settings from our premises on Donore Avenue, and on an outreach basis where need

We are seeking to recruit a part-time Community Drug & Alcohol Worker (Keyworker)

The successful applicant will work with a small team in a busy Low-threshold, harm reduction project in Dublin’s South West Inner City.

The worker will: Support Service users through,

  • Keyworking
  • Care Planning
  • Case management
  • Assisting in running our drop-in service

The successful candidate will have experience in working with people in addiction, committed to harm-reduction ethos and have the necessary professional qualification.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building safe, secure relationships with service users
  • Conduct Initial Assessments, Care Plans and Case manage service users
  • Assist in the running of our low-threshold drop-in services
  • Ability to input data on all relevant information and outcomes into our data system. (eCass)

 

Critera:

  • Have previous experience on working with people addiction and mental health
  • Be committed to a harm reduction approach to the work
  • Have a genuine respect and empathy for our client base
  • A relevant qualification in the area of addiction studies or social/health care

 

Hours of work: 21.5 hrs weekly

Salary: € 22,000
