Communications and Digital Marketing Executive

Arthritis Ireland is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and detail-oriented Communications and Digital Marketing Executive. 

Role Overview

The Communications and Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for developing and executing digital communication strategies to enhance Arthritis Ireland’s online presence, engage stakeholders, and support the organisation’s mission. You will play a fundamental role in developing our brand collateral, creating, editing and optimising our content with strong attention to detail, acting as a style and tone of voice guardian for the brand and supporting ways to streamline what is produced. You’ll be part of a team that brings together design, development, culture, and community. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update the Arthritis Ireland website, ensuring content is optimised for excellent user experience, search engines and digital/social media platforms. 
  • Monitor and analyse website analytics and track trends to improve user journey and experience, drive and increase traffic and digital performance metrics.
  • Manage Arthritis Ireland’s social media channels, including copywriting, scheduling content and advertising.
  • Develop, implement and analyse digital marketing campaigns to increase awareness and engagement.
  • Produce multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and infographics.
  • Create and maintain content and campaign calendars to support strategic marketing initiatives and timely content delivery.
  • Support services, fundraising and advocacy efforts and collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand identity and messaging across all digital channels.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Digital  Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Proven track record (minimum three years) of creating and managing engaging content across various digital platforms, social media management and digital marketing.  
  • Experience with paid advertising on social media platforms. 
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to tailor content for different audiences.
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and video editing software.
  • Proficiency in SEO, GA4 analytics, Email marketing (e.g. Mailchimp).  
  • Innovative thinking with a strong understanding of current digital trends and the ability to create fresh ideas for digital campaigns.

  • Passion for Arthritis Ireland’s mission and the role of digital in driving positive impact. 

Location: This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate must be available to work in our office three days per week in Clanwilliam Square, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2. 

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Salary: €38,000 per annum

Excellent benefits including pension and generous contribution to health insurance (upon successful completion of 6-month probationary period).
