Social Entrepreneurs Ireland (SEI) is recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer.
SALARY: €85,000–€95,000 commensurate with experience
LOCATION: Dublin D02 office based for a minimum 3 days per week with expected flexibility based on the senior nature of the role
CONTRACT: Full-time, permanent
Background
Social Entrepreneurs Ireland (SEI) is the home of social entrepreneurship in Ireland and a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to accelerating social change by identifying and supporting people with innovative solutions to Ireland’s most pressing social challenges.
Founded in 2004, Social Entrepreneurs Ireland has supported over 660 social entrepreneurs over the last two decades and created a community of leaders tackling Ireland’s biggest social issues. This includes individuals working to address mental health, homelessness, education, the environment and more, helping them transform ideas into impactful, scalable initiatives. SEI harnesses the collective power of people, offering programmes, direct funding, and access to a vibrant community of alumni, funders, and sector leaders to drive lasting change. SEI is now entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking a CEO to lead the organisation’s mission with energy and conviction.
The Role
Reporting to an experienced Board of Directors, the CEO will work closely with an ambitious, and expert senior leadership team to implement and further develop the organisation’s strategic plan whilst managing risk, maintaining best practice governance and cultivating key relationships with key supporters including trusts and foundations, high net worth individuals, business leaders and successful entrepreneurs. As the public face of the organisation, the CEO will be lead spokesperson and advocate for the organisation, representing not just SEI but also communicating and sharing the importance and impact of social entrepreneurs in Ireland.
The ideal candidate will bring significant leadership experience, preferably in the not-for-profit sector, a sound understanding of social enterprise, expertise in governance and strategic planning, and a proven capability in funding, financial management and operational leadership. Excellent communication, relationship-building skills, and a commitment to SEI’s mission are essential and an existing network of corporate and philanthropic contacts would be a distinct advantage.
If you are an authentic, visionary and impact-driven leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record in steering organisations to success, we'd love to hear from you.
