Mayo Social is an inter-sectoral innovation project developed to explore the challenges and opportunities of an ageing society and economy.  It takes a place based and outcomes focused approach to its work and aims to generate learning that will inform development both within Co Mayo and at national level.  

With the support of the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, and Mayo Co. Council, Mayo Social is now calling for Expressions of Interest from suitably skilled researchers to support the preparation of a report which will inform the development of a framework for a demonstrator project.  The report will: 

• Assess the current landscape of community-based social supports and services available to older people in County Mayo.
• Examine opportunities to enhance social connectedness.
• Identify potential for improved collaboration, innovation and integration between voluntary and statutory services.
