Touchpoint Series: The Heart of Frontline Practice

This exciting online event brings together frontline practitioners to delve into the topics of vulnerability and resilience.

The collaborators of the Heart of Frontline Practice Alliance: Dr Maeve Hurley, Dr Nicola O’Sullivan and SHEP warmly invite you to the next session in their ‘Touchpoint Series’. The inclusive event will take place on Tuesday 20th February between 11am – 1pm, ONLINE.

This inclusive event will be hosted by Jim Sheehan, one of the three collaborators behind the Heart of Frontline Practice, who works to continue providing these reflective spaces for frontline practitioners.

Dr Aisling McMahon, will facilitate this two-hour session and guide participants through the theme of “Exploring Vulnerability and Resilience in Frontline Practice”.

Aisling is an Assistant Professor in Psychotherapy in the School of Nursing, Psychotherapy and Community Health at DCU and Chair of the Professional Diploma in Clinical Supervision. She has worked in various settings over the past 30 years, including the Irish prison service, community-based and inpatient adult psychiatric services, a community care HSE service for children and adolescents, and private practice. Having engaged in sessional teaching through most of her career, she took up a full-time academic post in DCU in 2015, which has facilitated development of her specialist teaching and research interests in clinical supervision and practitioner development (for those interested, some of Aisling's publications are freely available at Dr Aisling McMahon - Research Gate )

This online continuing professional development seminar is open to all practitioners.

The intention is to create a supportive space where we can come together as committed practitioners to connect, share and learn and to deepen our understanding of what it means to be truly engaged in values-based, heartful practice.
