Engaging the community in the design of community projects is a cornerstone of effective development. This participatory process empowers community members to shape initiatives that directly impact their lives and ensures projects are tailored to local needs and preferences, thereby increasing their relevance and long-term success.

This event will provide opportunities for professionals in the sector to come together to discuss approaches for engaging communities in the design and development of community initiatives.  It will also provide an opportunity to network with people working and volunteering in all aspects of the social inclusion sector.

Community Food Initiatives

This event is part of the Community Food Initiatives (CFI) which has been funded by safefood since 2010.  SECAD Partnership is co-ordinating the Community Food Initiative (CFI) on behalf of safefood and the purpose of the Community Food Initiative (CFI) is to provide people with the knowledge and skills to provide healthy food options for themselves and their families.  As safefood is an all-island body, the organisations delivering the programme are from both Northern Ireland (NI) and the Republic of Ireland (ROI).
