Posted on 17 Nov 2021

What: Suas Global Issues Course

When: Online 7-9 pm, Tuesday evenings: 30 November, 7 & 14 December.

Registration: https://www.suas.ie/suas-global-issues

We are delighted to let you know that Suas's online Global Issues Course is now being offered to all Alumni of Suas & STAND programmes.

You might have connected to Suas through the Volunteer Programme or the Global Citizenship Programme STAND in the past and are interested in re-connecting to global justice issues and action. But it can be hard to know where to start to tackle global inequality.

This interactive online course will deepen your understanding of global justice issues, connect you to like-minded, passionate peers and give you opportunities to explore your own role in bringing about change. During the last session, you will get the opportunity to reconnect to some of Suas's previous partners from India and Kenya.

This short course costs just €10 thanks to the support of Irish Aid. Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Each week will cover one topic:

  • Week 1: Extreme wealth, extreme poverty: human development today
  • Week 2: Human rights and human dignity: case studies in practice
  • Week 3: We're all activists now.
