ABLE Brief Intervention Training

Cork charity, Ag Eisteacht, is running brief intervention training in Cork for frontline staff working in health, social care and community roles. The ABLE training model develops practitioners’ ability to build relationships and to manage boundaries.

The three-day course takes place in Cork on February 25th and March 10th & 11th at Northridge House, Castle Road, Blackrock, Cork, T12 H970.

The four step, practical ABLE model underpinning the training, allows participants to Adopt a relational approach, Build rapport and manage boundaries of time, Listen actively and reflectively, Empower clients and end the intervention appropriately.

ABLE training is approved for CPD purposes by Social Care Ireland, Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT), the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, the Irish Association of Social Workers, the Irish College of General Practitioners, the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Department of Education.
