The European Parliament has launched a powerful 4-minute film highlighting why, despite years of peace, prosperity and democracy, we cannot take our right to vote for granted.
The film features testimonies from senior citizens from across Europe reminding younger generations of their first-hand experiences of the horrors of World War II, the Prague uprising and other dark chapters in Europe’s recent past.

A shortened version of this film will be broadcast on RTE and TG4 in the run-up to the elections.
