Creative Lives is recruiting for a Trustee (Ireland Convener)

Creative Lives (formerly Voluntary Arts) is a registered charity established in 1991, that champions community and volunteer-led creative activity. We work to improve opportunities for everyone to be creative and, in particular, celebrate and promote people expressing themselves creatively with others, recognising the benefits this brings to both individuals and communities.

Creative Lives is organised into four teams and our Board of Trustees includes four Trustees who represent the teams for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales on the Creative Lives Board. We refer to these lead Trustees for each team as Conveners. We are currently looking to recruit a new Ireland Convener to the Board. The Conveners play an important role in the development and management of our wider pool of volunteer Creative Advisors.

This is a volunteer position: Creative Lives meets all relevant travel and subsistence costs for Board members but Board positions are not remunerated.

  • If you are interested in having a confidential discussion about the role, please contact Damien McGlynn, Ireland Director, on damien@creative-lives.org or +353 87 108 7587
  • Expressions of interest (no more than 500 words) and a CV should be sent by email to Robin Simpson, Chief Executive, at robin@creative-lives.org by 5pm, Tuesday 31 August 2021.
