Rape Crisis Ireland's Relevance Symposium, 1 Oct
Rape Crisis Ireland warmly invites you to The Relevance Test in Practice: Evidence, Justice and Survivors’ Rights, taking place on 1 October at the Central Criminal Court.
The symposium will explore how the relevance test applies to Section 3 (Sexual Experience) and Section 19A (Disclosure of Third-Party Records) applications, and what these provisions mean in practice for evidence, justice and survivors’ rights.
Catherine Ardagh TD, Minister of State at the Department of Justice, will open the event.
Ms Justice Úna Ní Raifeartaigh will launch new research by Dr Sinéad Ring (Maynooth University) on Section 3 applications, with a keynote response from Prof Vanessa Munro (University of Warwick).
A panel discussion with legal professionals will follow.
Places are limited, so we encourage you to register via Eventbrite as soon as possible.
