Epilepsy Ireland: Volunteers for Rose Week 2019

Posted on 21 Aug 2019

Rose Week:

The Epilepsy Ireland Annual Rose week Appeal will take place from October 13th – October 19th. Rose week is one of Epilepsy Ireland’s largest fundraising events. Throughout the week Rose pins will be available for purchase in various locations around the country.

Rose week also acts as an excellent opportunity to raise awareness for Epilepsy and the work of epilepsy Ireland – this year we are recruiting volunteers to partake in collections around the country to help us raise awareness and funds for epilepsy Ireland.

We are recruiting for two different volunteer roles this year

-          Rose Week Regional Co-ordinator

-          Rose Week Collections Volunteer

Our Organisation

Epilepsy Ireland was established in 1966 with the goal of improving the quality of life of people living with epilepsy in Ireland. Today the organisation provides a range of support services and training and educational services from its HQ in Dublin and 9 regional offices around Ireland for people with epilepsy, their families and their carers.

In Ireland there are approximately 40,000 people living with epilepsy, epilepsy Ireland acts as a national advocate for these people and strives to share their voices on a national platform. Epilepsy Ireland also places a strong emphasis on raising awareness around epilepsy, and the organisation co-ordinates numerous awareness campaigns throughout the year.

Epilepsy Ireland's vision is to achieve a society where no person's life is limited by epilepsy. The organisation’s mission statement states that “Epilepsy Ireland is committed to working for and meeting the needs of everyone with epilepsy in Ireland and their families and carers.”
