New Award Category Announced for Young Social Innovators of the Year Ireland Awards 2021

Posted on 11 Dec 2020

Young Social Innovators has joined forces with Virgin Media to launch a new Digital Innovators youth award.

Through Young Social Innovators, young people are challenged to explore social issues impacting them and their communities and to work together to co-create and implement innovative ideas to address these issues. Thousands of teenagers throughout Ireland are currently engaged in social innovation projects across a diverse range of issues as part of Young Social Innovators 2021.

The Digital Innovators award aims to recognise young people’s positive application of digital technology for the purposes of social good and to promote digital wellbeing. Entrants will need to demonstrate an innovative application of digital technology in response to a social issue they identify, or address issues related to digital safety and wellbeing.

The inaugural winner of the Digital Innovators Award will be announced on 13th May at the Young Social Innovators Ireland Awards 2021.
