Review of Community Services Programme (CSP): consultation launched on terms of reference

Posted on 31 Oct 2018 Last updated on 6 Nov 2018

The Department of  Rural and Community Development has commenced the first phase of a review of the Community Services Programme (CSP), by putting the terms of reference for the proposed review out for consultation.

The CSP programme is a very important funding source for many community and voluntary organisations and this review is, therefore, very significant. An independent body will carry out the review in 2019 on behalf of the Department, and a steering group will be established to oversee the review and to provide strategic oversight and direction.

The purpose of this first phase of the review to receive input on the draft scope of the review and ensure that as broad a range of issues are considered and to allow an opportunity for interested stakeholders to provide early feedback, while all options are still open for consideration.

The deadline for receipt of submissions on this initial consultation is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 14 November 2018.

Submissions (max 1,000 words) are now invited and should be sent by email to csp@drcd.gov.ie or in writing to:
