PayPal Financial Inclusion Grants Closing Soon

Posted on 27 Sep 2018 Last updated on 11 Oct 2018

PayPal is still accepting applications from Irish charities for its Financial Inclusion Grants. The total fund is approximately €14,600, with the three successful charity applicants due to receive bursaries to the value of €8,600, €4,300 and €1,700.

The initiative serves as part of PayPal’s commitment to encourage financial inclusion and participation for all. The grants are designed to assist people with poor credit histories or fine motor skill challenges, as well as start-up and small businesses who struggle to secure safe and affordable financial services.

ALONE was one of the three successful applicants last year. The organisation used its grant to fund its Launch Bwell mobile app which is aimed at promoting financial inclusion for those aged 60 and over.

For more information and an application form, please contact giveireland@paypal.com. The deadline for submission is the 30 September 2018. Successful applicants will be invited to pitch their projects to the PayPal Financial Inclusion Competition Judging Panel, with winners being announced on the day.
