The Wheel is partnering with HSE to ensure that charities and community and voluntary organisations have access to accurate and up to date information about the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines.

We will share updates relevant to our members and the wider nonprofit community each week. These updates will come through the News section of our website, in our weekly and monthly newsletters (login or register to make sure you're subscribed), and through our social media.

The vaccine rollout is now underway and daily vaccination data is now available to all on the COVID-19 Data Hub and on the COVID-19 Tracker App. (The data is from 48 hours previously to allow for validation.)

The COVID-19 Vaccine Allocation Strategy sets out a provisional priority list of groups for vaccination. The Strategy was developed by the National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) and Department of Health, endorsed by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET), and approved by Government on 8 December 2020. People who are most at risk from COVID-19 will be vaccinated first.

Frontline healthcare workers working in the following can now register to receive a COVID-19 vaccine:

  • HSE or HSE-funded organisations
  • private hospitals or clinics
  • community based not-for-profit and private healthcare providers not directly funded by the HSE.

The most up to date information about the vaccination programme can be accessed at: www2.hse.ie/covid-19-vaccine
