Pre-Budget Submission Hub

On 10 June 2026, The Wheel launched Community at the Heart of Our Democracy: Pre- Budget Submission 2027.   It highlights a number of issues facing community and voluntary organisations across the country and makes a series of recommendations for Government.

Community and voluntary organisations in Ireland carry out incredible work and hold expertise in areas that are far-reaching in scope. This online hub brings together the pre-Budget recommendations developed by a range of different organisations – from service providers to advocacy organisations, social enterprises and community groups. 

The work in every corner of the country and beyond, in areas including health and social care, climate and biodiversity, housing and homelessness, youth, older people, disability, LGBTQI+ rights and many more. These submissions draw attention to some of the major societal and economic issues that our members work to address and contain evidence-based recommendations based on the work of those closes to the issues.
