Seminar on the Growing Up in Ireland Survey and its Influence on Social Policy, 13 May
The Irish Social Policy Association (ISPA) is holding an in-person evening seminar on the Growing Up in Ireland Survey and its Influence on Social Policy on 13 May.
Speakers:
- Dr. Katie O’Farrell, Head of Growing Up in Ireland (GUI) at the CSO, will present on GUI’s findings, giving an overview of what we have learned over time.
- Dr. Helen Russell, ESRI, will respond, based on her analysis of the GUI micro-data.
- Dr. Ciara Pidgeon, Head of Research and Evaluation, Department of Children, Equality and Disability, will present on links between GUI, policy and advisory groups.
- Mr. Stephen Moffatt, Barnardos, will speak from a children’s rights and equality perspective.
Dr. O’Farrell will speak for up to 30 minutes and three respondents will deliver a short response or reaction to those findings. We will then have a question-and-answer session with the audience.
The seminar is taking place on Tuesday 13 May, 6.30-8pm, Carmelite Centre, 56 Aungier Street, Dublin 2. All welcome.
The seminar is free for members of the ISPA and €5 for non-members. Membership can be purchased on the night.
