Wednesday 4th November, Belfast
BOOK HERE
The CORE project is offering training to third-sector environmental groups to help develop organisational capacity, build cross-border partnerships and improve public and political reach.
The first of five workshops will launch this autumn in Belfast with an in-depth look at organisational governance.
This will include:
- Building and recruiting an effective board
- Developing the policies that keep an organisation accountable
- Building the structures and systems that help organisations grow sustainably, whether they are volunteer-led, staffed, or a mix of both
Guest speaker: Dr Ian Humphreys – A view from both sides of the board table.
Key takeaways:
- A board skills audit and recruitment plan that you can use straight away
- Knowledge sharing with environmental groups, North and South
- Discuss challenges and solutions with a network of peers
- Opportunities to forge relationships with other organisations
The training is open to groups based in NI and the ROI.
Places are limited and registration will close at 23:59 on 20th October.
The CORE (Cross-border Opportunities for a Resilient Environment) Project is funded by PEACEPLUS. It is led by the Irish Environmental Network, in partnership with Northern Ireland Environment Link.
