New Publication: Scaling up Engaged Research – The Social Economy Perspective

To conclude the Erasmus+ RISE project (Engaged Research in the Social Economy), led by The Wheel, the consortium is delighted to launch the project’s publication: “Scaling up Engaged Research – The Social Economy Perspective”.

How can we strengthen collaboration between the social economy and the research sector, and create the conditions for more meaningful and socially impactful research?

Scaling up Engaged Research – The Social Economy Perspective brings together the main results, lessons and recommendations of the RISE – Engaged Research in the Social Economy project.

At the heart of RISE is a simple idea: Social Economy organisations and communities should be able to participate in research as equal partners, bringing their knowledge, experience and understanding of societal needs into the research process.

The publication explores the journey and achievements of the project, including:

  • The RISE methodology and co-design process
  • The free 5-module training programme on Engaged Research
  • Results, case studies and testimonials from the pilot trainings
  • The key lessons and achievements of the RISE project
  • Policy recommendations to support Engaged Research moving forward

Whether you work in the Social Economy, research, policymaking or funding, the publication offers practical insights into how we can build stronger and more balanced partnerships between communities and research.

📖 Discover the publication on the project’s website, along with many other resources on Engaged Research: https://www.engaged-rise.eu/publication

A Spanish translation of the Executive Summary and the full Sustainability Plan is also available on the website.
