Invitation to ICJA Conference — The Human Cost of Deception: Economic Crime as a Public Harm in Ireland
Registration is now open for the 12th annual Irish Criminal Justice Agencies (ICJA) Conference, organised by the Association for Criminal Justice Research and Development (ACJRD) in partnership with the Revenue Commissioners.
The full-day event is taking place on Friday, 9 October 2026 at the Revenue Commissioners Building on O’Connell Street, Dublin, from 9.30am until 4.30pm.
The conference will be launched by the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, Jim O’Callaghan T.D.
This year’s conference, “The Human Cost of Deception: Economic Crime as a Public Harm in Ireland,” will explore the changing nature of economic crime and its growing impact on individuals, communities, institutions and wider society.
Bringing together perspectives from government, law enforcement, academia, regulators, industry and civil society, the conference will examine issues including the digital transformation of economic crime, the psychological impact of fraud and scams on victims, and the challenges associated with tackling corporate crime.
With contributions from a range of experts and practitioners, the event will provide an opportunity to share knowledge, consider emerging challenges and explore how Ireland can develop more coordinated, evidence-informed and future-ready responses to economic crime.
