EY Ireland Announces Make-A-Wish Ireland as its New Chosen Charity in the Rep. of Ireland

EY Ireland has announced Make-A-Wish Ireland as its chosen charity for the next two years in the Republic of Ireland.

Make-A-Wish Ireland supports children living with life-threatening illnesses by granting wishes that bring hope, joy and lasting memories to children and their families. The charity’s work provides a welcome respite from treatment and hospital visits, helping families create special moments together.

Each wish is tailored to the individual child and can take many different forms, from meeting a sporting hero or favourite performer to experiencing a special trip, receiving something meaningful or fulfilling a lifelong ambition.

Since 1992, Make-A-Wish Ireland has granted more than 3,700 wishes, including 229 in 2025.

Throughout the two-year partnership, EY colleagues across the Republic of Ireland will support Make-A-Wish Ireland through a programme of fundraising, volunteering and awareness-raising initiatives, helping the charity continue creating life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses across Ireland. Some of the planned activities include: Walk for Wishes, Make-A-Splash, an EY choir concert to coincide with Christmas Jumper Day, Wish Week collections and even supporting individual Wishes.

Frank O’Keeffe, EY Ireland Managing Partner, said:

“We are incredibly proud to announce Make-A-Wish Ireland as our chosen charity for the next two years. This is a cause that has really resonated with our people, and we are looking forward to supporting the charity’s important work through fundraising, volunteering and raising awareness.

Over the course of the partnership, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to helping Make-A-Wish Ireland create special moments for children living with life-threatening illnesses and their families.”

Susan O’Dwyer, Make-A-Wish Ireland CEO said:

“A wish can be a turning point for a child facing the challenges of a critical illness, bringing renewed hope, confidence and moments of joy when they are needed most. We are thrilled to partner with EY Ireland and deeply grateful for the enthusiasm and commitment already shown by its people. Together, we can help ensure that more children across Ireland experience the transformative power of a wish and create memories that will last a lifetime.”
