Cork Youth Orchestra and EY Cork Bring Festive Favourite The Snowman Back to Cork City Hall
EY Cork is continuing its support of Cork Youth Orchestra for a third consecutive year, helping to bring the orchestra’s much-loved Christmas Concerts back to Cork City Hall this December.
Taking place on 12 and 13 December, this year’s concerts will feature a special live orchestral performance of The Snowman, bringing Raymond Briggs’ classic story to life for audiences of all ages. The performances have become a highlight of Cork’s festive calendar and a Christmas tradition in the city, combining music, storytelling and community spirit in a unique seasonal experience.
Established in 1958, Cork Youth Orchestra was the first youth orchestra of its kind in Ireland. Today, it continues to promote the teaching, learning and appreciation of music while providing opportunities for young musicians from across Cork City and County to develop their talent and perform before live audiences.
Ronan Murray, EY Ireland Cork Office Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to continue our support of Cork Youth Orchestra and to mark a third year of collaboration with an organisation that plays such an important role in the cultural life of Cork.
At EY, we’re passionate about supporting initiatives that help young people build confidence, develop new skills and realise their potential. Cork Youth Orchestra does exactly that through music, while also bringing families, friends and the wider community together to enjoy the magic of live performance at Christmas. We are proud to support these special concerts once again and look forward to seeing Cork City Hall filled with music, joy and festive spirit this December.”
Tickets for the concerts will be available through the Cork Youth Orchestra’s official channels. For more information, visit https://corkyouthorchestra.ie/
