Summary of the role

The RCB is currently recruiting for a part-time kitchen assistant to support the operation of our busy canteen. This is a part-time (20 hours per week) role, from 11.00 to 3.00 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities of the role

Key duties include:

  • Setting tables
  • Assisting in food service
  • Washing pots and cooking equipment
  • Loading and unloading the dishwasher
  • General cleaning and upkeep of the kitchen area
  • General cleaning and upkeep of the canteen and coffee dock
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be:

  • Personable and friendly
  • Flexible and hardworking
  • Experienced in dealing with customers/members of the public
  • Experience of working in hospitality would be an advantage.
