Annual Audit Guidelines

Budgeting is one of the critical components of securing the financial future of any organisation. This highly accessible webinar will provide you with practical tips and guidance on effective and stress-free budgeting for your nonprofit.

Get to grips with preparing for and completing your annual audit efficiently.

Tony Ward, The Wheel’s Director of Finance, will demystify some of the language and processes you’ll need to know in advance of this important aspect of Charity and Financial Governance including:

  1. Building budgets from basic principles;
  2. Importance of realistic figures – reference to prior year and current year actual out-turn;
  3. Matching income and expenditure;
  4. Cash-flow and how this ties into good budgeting;
  5. Approval processes and timing.

Tony is The Wheel's Director of Finance.  As such, Tony is responsible for overseeing The Wheel's audit process and planning.

Tony is a graduate of UCD (B. Comm.) and a qualified charted accountant - he has worked in a number of finance roles in the private and not-for- profit sector as well as senior roles in fundraising and business development.
 

Tony has significant volunteering experience and has served on number of boards of directors and committees. In his spare time Tony likes to run competitively and has completed six marathons.

Tony will be joined by Hugh O’Reilly, The Wheel’s Director of Business Development, to discuss the important relationship between development and finance in the building of an annual budget.
