The Wheel's Social Enterprise Member Network

We're looking forward to welcoming you along to this online Social Enterprise Member Network session on 18 June, where the focus will be on innovative approaches to resourcing social enterprises.

These network meetings help us to build a ‘bottom-up’ approach to our work in social enterprise. These meetings also give our community of members the opportunity to build relationships among like-minded organisations, shape our policy work and let us know what supports you need.

We'll hear from leaders in the sector about their work to support thriving social enterprises. We’ll also explore local and national opportunities to influence policy and identify priorities for the network for the coming period.

This is a free event but spaces are limited so don’t miss out by registering using the button on the left.

Steven O'Connell headshot

Steven O'Connell is founder of Football Cooperative, a social enterprise that places recreational football as ‘a hook’ to bring men together to increase physical activity to promote health and social connection.

In 2021, Steven led Football Cooperative to form an enterprise academic partnership with South East Technological University that measured the reach and impact of games on men following the principles of social return on investment. As a result of this evaluation, a strong case for support for investment in the Football Cooperative intervention has been established. Steven is passionate about growing this evidenced based social impact to many more men and communities across Ireland.
